The June draw saw two investors from Essex and Kirklees claim the magical £1million prize, who were among the announced high-value winners.

Who won the June 2022 Premium Bonds?

The high-value winners for this month’s NS&I Premium Bond draw were announced on Monday June 1, with two new millionaires listed.

Officials do not name the winners but publish information about their location, the winning bond number and the number of premium bonds held by each winner.

The first premium bond millionaire winner of June 2022 hails from Essex, with winning bond number 281YT705546.

The value of the bond is £10,000 and was purchased in September 2016. The investor holds £10,001 of NS&I premium bonds.

The second lucky investor to win the £1m prize is from Kirklees, with winning bond number 464SG223887.

The value of the bond is £48,500 and was purchased in July 2021. This investor holds £50,000 of NS&I premium bonds.

How can I check if I have earned the Premium Bonds?

Premium Bondholders can check if they have won the Premium Bonds each month through the NS&I Price Checker.

Investors can check if they have won big on Premium Bonds of the Month by entering a unique holder number in the online tool.

You can find your cardholder number on your Bond file by logging into the NS&I online service. The number will either have 10 or nine digits, or eight digits followed by a letter.

NS&I will pay the winnings directly to your bank account or reinvest them in other bonds, depending on what you ask them to do.

For any winnings worth £5,000 or more, NS&I will first need to verify with you by posting a claim form for you to complete and confirm how you wish to be paid.

If you defy the odds and win big, you’ll be notified with an in-person visit.

A representative from NS&I will visit the two £1million winners at their homes the day before the first working day of the month and before the other winners are announced 24 hours later.

What are premium bonds?

NS&I Premium Bonds are a type of savings account that offers tax-free prizes through its monthly drawdown instead of a stable interest rate on your money.

The advantage of premium bonds is that you can invest and withdraw money whenever you want, and have a chance to win big every month.

Each £1 bond has an equal chance of winning one of the high value prizes, ranging from £25 to £1 million.

The minimum you have to pay is £25 and the maximum you can pay is £50,000.
