Texas Instruments stocks have fallen -15.1% over the past year against the decline of the semiconductor industry – overall -17.6%. The Zacks analyst believes weakness in the personal electronics market remains a headwind. Additionally, heightened market competition and uncertainties related to the coronavirus are of concern. However, the company is benefiting from a strong rebound in the automotive market. In addition, the strong demand environment in the industrial, communications equipment and enterprise systems markets is a major plus.
In addition, strong momentum in the analog segment, thanks to a robust signal chain and power product lines, is contributing well to revenues. In addition, the strong Embedded Processing segment made a good contribution. Notably, solid investments in new growth paths and competitive advantages remain tailwinds. The company’s long-life product portfolio and efficient manufacturing strategies are further positives.

caterpillar since the beginning of the year (+1.3% against -0.9%). The Zacks analyst believes that due to soaring commodity prices and the energy transition trend, a thriving mining sector will help the resource industries segment. Its dividend yield and payout ratio are higher than those of its peers. A strong liquidity position, investments in service expansion and digital initiatives will help Caterpillar generate exceptional long-term returns.
However, the company’s revenue and profit grew year-over-year for five consecutive quarters on the back of its cost-cutting measures, strong end-market demand and pricing actions that contributed to offset the impact of ongoing supply chain challenges and cost pressures. We expect the company’s adjusted earnings per share for 2022 to grow 20% on revenue up 14%. The Construction Industries segment is expected to benefit from increased construction activity in the United States and other parts of the world.
